TRIP TO WINDSOR CASTLE POEM 45
This is the last of my poems inspired by photographs I took on a trip to Windsor Castle. So we move to photographs of my trip to Salisbury, Bath and Stonehenge next post. A travail of persistence, as well as creativity, our imaginations move to a different strategic point.
“In the diary you find proof that in situations which today would seem unbearable, you lived, looked around and wrote down observations, that this right hand moved then as it does today, when we may be wiser because we are able to look back upon our former condition, and for that very reason have got to admit the courage of our earlier striving in which we persisted even in sheer ignorance.” Frank Kafka
Through The Times
Passing through our life,
We wend our way,
Along a path we share,
A path we chose.
Complicit in our love,
We found each other’s hand,
And we held them together,
Stubborn in our persistence.
I will not let go still,
And nor shall you,
Our weary hands from work,
Still holding on as if for life.
So through the times,
Our love persists,
And we exist conjoined,
By jointed digits stubborn,
As in our youth.
“... you know that soft is stronger than hard, water stronger than rocks, love stronger than force.” Hermann Hesse
