TRIP TO WINDSOR CASTLE POEM 40
Daily writing is my target and it has been profitable to do so. It was quite a daunting idea to begin with and continues to be so, if I am honest. Here is another poem from my writing inspired by a trip to Windsor Castle.
“Always be a poet, even in prose.” Charles Baudelaire
Abode
Betwixt two dwellings,
We abide and profit
From the beauty
Of the surroundings.
We cannot surfeit,
For each other is all,
For now we are together,
And our lot cannot be divided.
From broken and shattered
Dreams we rose a pair,
Too idealistic for truth,
Too young for patience.
A passer-by would notice
Our content and boast,
For our life is perfect now,
Oh one, I love the most!
“If you have the words, there's always a chance that you'll find the way.” Seamus Heaney
