TRIP TO WINDSOR CASTLE POEM 31
It is hard to keep a secret sometimes, when you want to tell for joy. Circumstance and difficulty often calls for a secretive nature. Artists may be secretive people, but the art itself is very revealing. People look in the metaphor of poetry for hidden meaning and find it both from the poem and themselves.
“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.” Roald Dahl
Boastful
I would like to boast
Of our love, my love,
But we are quite in secret,
For this is how we are.
For what reason,
You do not tell me,
As I would like
To tell.
I would like to dress
In white with delight,
And announce our happiness,
For that is how we are.
So it is not good to be boastful,
So I shall not complain,
As you are right and correct,
And mine.
“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” C.G. Jung
