TRIP TO WINDSOR CASTLE POEM 24
When there is a battle to be fought, it must be fought with valiance and courage to be won. Whether it be sticking to a new habit or work structure or baring your soul for the first time, an artist must fight the good fight too. This is your artistic theme that must be approached or no.
“Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved.” Martin Luther
Through the Chancery
There is no dukedom in a coffer,
Nor is there life in a cup,
For it is in England we hold our hope,
There is life there yet.
Yay, there is valiance in the heart,
Yes, there is succour in the liver,
And there shall be no loss of honour,
Amongst our men for they are true.
There can be no pact, no treaty,
No contract that betrays this trust,
It is when bit of good value,
For it contains my heart.
The battle is won,
The victory is ours,
For if vainglory fills our head,
It is only for the Lord himself.
“Fight on, brave knights! Man dies, but glory lives! Fight on; death is better than defeat! Fight on brave knights! for bright eyes behold your deeds!” Walter Scott
