TRIP TO WINDSOR CASTLE POEM 21
So, here we are my friends - my 100th published poem! This is the 100th day of blogging on MY POEMS! So on my centurion of poetry blogging how do I feel? Satisfied - that I have managed to keep to my resolution to blog everyday. Excited that you are joining me on this journey still.
“One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and, if it were possible, to speak a few reasonable words.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Through the Breach
The canon balls are flying,
At such horizontal angle,
We are secure but to stay,
Is to accept rapprochement.
I will follow you through,
The breach, although it is wide,
The time is long and there will
Be no close till we are suffered.
So take up your arms,
And make your cry,
For I am equipped,
For such battle.
Our song is sung,
Our choice is made,
Our success is now joint,
So there is no goodbye.
“Always be a poet, even in prose.” Charles Baudelaire
