TRIP TO WINDSOR CASTLE POEM 15

So we are turning to Winter, with the celebration of Halloween. It rains and there is a blustery wind of change. Sitting here, I can see the leaves are dropping having changed and that reminds me of how we change every year. So we celebrate the seasons of the past, with ghosts and ghouls and all sorts in our minds. This is the reflection of an artist's process - developing and changing their art, as they find new perspectives or change themselves.

“Eye of newt, and toe of frog, Wool of bat, and tongue of dog, Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting, Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing, — For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hell-broth boil and bubble. Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble.” William Shakespeare

The Square Tower

Before the tower I seem small,

Looking up at the turret,

As I might have as a child,

Staring up at the unreached.

Did you also do this my love?

What treasures did you imagine my love?

All I can see now is empty space,

But space is there to fill.

What would you fill the space with?

I would fill it with you.

Only you and our love,

But is it large enough?

So I see you in the spaces,

I see you in the song of the bird,

I see you in the sigh of the wind,

What is it that you see?

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” Leo Tolstoy
