TRIP TO HISTORIC BATH POEM 65
Looking to the future, it is difficult to know which path to take, sometimes. At other times, it is crystal clear where you are heading. It is a stormy time when you do not know, for some, as there is no clear route or parameters. We struggle to find them sometimes, but that is when we are most free.
“I keep turning over new leaves, and spoiling them, as I used to spoil my copybooks; and I make so many beginnings there never will be an end.” Louisa May Alcott
Around The Corner
Pacing on the paved ground,
A click on the slatted pavement,
We hear our march towards an end,
What the end is I do not know.
We cannot see around the corner,
For our steps form our future,
And to reach the turning point,
We must take steps and matters.
The path is long and there are twists,
The route is a straight line,
But our feet must take us in curves,
Meeting turning points far from our way.
So you must hold my hand,
To guide us for we must take,
The same path as rocky or twisted,
As it is with patience and care.
"Are the first line and last line of any poem, Where the poem begins and ends?” Seamus Heaney
