TRIP TO HISTORIC BATH POEM 53
As each tree leaf is different to the next, even on the same tree, so is love different for each person. Would a Platonic love look like two leaves with the same pattern? Perhaps so.
“Whoever is first in the field and awaits the coming of the enemy, will be fresh for the fight; whoever is second in the field and has to hasten to battle will arrive exhausted.” Sun Tzu
Abreast Of The Field
Before we delve deeper my love,
We must look before we leap,
And keep abreast of the field,
For opportunity lost is opportunity cost.
I do not think of love as financial,
But lasting love is based on mutual merits,
As well-placed as we are it would be,
Prudent to know that the match is right.
There is too little love when there is no,
Bacon because tempers frayed are made of,
Accusations unfair but costly to romance,
So while we have the chance let us check.
I would be bereft if you were to go,
So once we know the columns match,
There is only one thing I need to know –
Do you love me, for I love you.
“When I got untethered from the comfort of religion, it wasn't a loss of faith for me, it was a discovery of Self.” Brad Pitt
