TRIP TO HISTORIC BATH POEM 37
The sun was out today, but it did not allay the mushy mud of the field. As strong as the light was, the dreary rain had soaked the turf to wetness. Pleased to tramp around, I found myself delighting in the fresh feel to the air.
“When pain brings you down, don't be silly, don't close your eyes and cry, you just might be in the best position to see the sun shine.” Alanis Morissette
Keep Out!
Keep out of my thoughts,
And stay away from me,
For you are as tenacious,
As a new thought imprinted.
I do not need your kisses,
Or your touch for it is
Too much to handle,
So I would beg of you.
If I were to write a song,
It would be to forget you,
In the melody you would
Disappear disturbed by its flow.
So in poem form I tell you –
Keep out!
For I do not need to see you,
And do not wonder where you are.
“Laughter is a sunbeam of the soul.” Thomas Mann
