TRIP TO ELTHAM PALACE POEM 24
Updated: Sep 23, 2021
Radiance comes from within, as does the beauty of a person. So, when we look into ourselves, using the artistic process, we produce something from within to the outside. In turn, that beauty creates more beauty within ourselves. So, as creators of our own destiny, we are becoming more beautiful. The idea of inspiration comes from this - an object of art, nature or a thought may spark off more beauty within us to be expressed. I feel refreshed from seeing the beautiful creations in Bath and being at the hot spring of Minerva there. I hope to share poems from these trips too.
"Up then, fair phoenix bride, frustrate the sun; Thyself from thine affection, Takest warmth enough, and from thine eye, All lesser birds will take their jollity." John Donne
Bespoke
So here we are my love,
Lying here gently,
God himself having made them for us,
They are his image but from our two
Patterns, would into a tale and to
Become form with hand and foot,
Character and smile so merged as if
They were us in tiny form.
Your had touches mine,
And they feel you,
So they know they are well
Looked after and that there
Is nothing to fear as Father is near.
Here we are bespoke,
Made for each other,
Meant for each other,
And in love.
“The sheath that held her soul had assumed significance - that was all. She was a sun, radiant, growing, gathering light and storing it - then after an eternity pouring it forth in a glance, the fragment of a sentence, to that part of him that cherished all beauty and all illusion.” F. Scott Fitzgerald
