TRIP TO ELTHAM PALACE POEM 23
Experience is individual, but being at Stonehenge felt like being part of a collectively special experience. Another poem, another day - I hope you enjoy some more of my imaginings from my previous trip to Eltham Palace. Today I go to the Roman Baths of the city named Bath and hope to find more inspiration there!
“No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.” Heraclitus
Realm
Between the covers we lie,
Are we between time and space?
This is our realm and here we
Are enfixed and entranced,
By each other’s body,
Entangled and perplexed.
What goes through your mind,
As you stare into my eyes,
As our gaze is so true,
We do not smirk or prevaricate,
Or ponder as we look to the past,
But as transfixed see event the fleck?
In my mind is children,
I dare not say as this is the beginning,
But as I grow we both know,
I quieten as there is nowhere to go,
And listen to our love become
More complete than I could have known.
“The greatest thing in this world is not so much where we stand as in what direction we are moving.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
