TRIP TO DEAL - SECOND POEM
Further inspired, I wrote a set of poems, so they match some of my favourite snaps.
Sometimes you choose your direction, you are at a crossroad of your life. East or West? You cannot unwrite what you have written, only turn back ...
"Nothing compares to you. Sinead O'Connor"
You can fix the route, you can mend your heart, but the experience always stays.
Bypass
So you want to renew our love,
Having extricated yourself from the
Tricky situation as it was not
Professional now that things took
A serious turn?
Having bypassed me in the corridor,
My heart fixed the valve that blew,
But the weakness remained,
To love too much can break a heart,
But distance, unlike absence, does
Not make the heart grow fonder.
Too short a fuse I let off sparks,
That caught flame
But fire does not burn responsibility
Nor does it change convention
Nor direction even if the track
Were laid in another combination.
Happy now, attractive and seductive
Madness seems,
But break my bond and all that
Shall remain
Are the shattered fragments of my heart.
"Being is. Being is in-itself. Being is what it is. Jean-Paul Sartre"
