SALISBURY PERSPECTIVES POEM 4
The glow of the sun is gone to night. There is nothing to be done but to take advantage of the cool.
"When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy." Rumi
Before We Go
Before we go my love,
Before we make our life,
Please consider this –
Our love was sealed by the rose,
His petal blooming gayly,
The dew sat on the folds,
As he cried for joy.
There is no greater love than this,
A fleeting glance a parting kiss,
To seal our vow true and deep,
A touch, a smile both to keep.
Before we go my love,
Before you are my life,
Remember this and treasure it,
As it also comes from above.
“The soul is like an uninhabited world that comes to life only when God lays His head against us.” St. Thomas Aquinas
