SALISBURY PERSPECTIVES POEM 2
The mellow of the heat still pervades the room. The lingering of the day is like a ghost haunting the house, calling out its promise.
"True friends are always together in spirit." L.M. Montgomery
Together
Before we take the path my love,
Before we take that step,
Tell me that you love me,
And do that without regret.
Life is like a circle,
It flows in perfect symmetry,
If we join together,
It joins to make eternity.
So if you really love me,
Then we’ll make a vow,
To love one another,
No matter when or how.
Before we take the path my love,
Especially before these stones,
Tell me that you love me,
And we will make a home.
"To make one, there must be two." W.H. Auden
