SALISBURY PERSPECTIVES POEM 19

The hazy lazy day continues, but we must work on!

"The painter has the Universe in his mind and hands." Leonardo da Vinci

Transformation

In your shadow the story lies,

The sun blocked by your form,

A form lies on the ground,

Revealing your presence and meaning.

Your face changes eyes lit,

And your smile reveals your nature,

You are not as I but you are,

Of my character and I see your grace.

You transform me to your pleasure,

Hands folded and enfolding,

I believe in you because you trust me,

A guiding light to carry me home.

Your story is long and mine has just begun,

A poem does not write itself,

As willing the idea may be,

There is need of creativity.

"The lyf so short, the craft so long to lerne." Geoffrey Chaucer
