SALISBURY LANDSCAPES POEM 14
There is always gain to be had in waiting patiently. It can be hard to do so, but as all things grow, so do opportunities and relationships.
"From a small seed a mighty trunk may grow." Aeschylus
Before The Time
Patiently the seed waits for the rain,
It drinks deep and swells with pride,
Pushing upwards to the Sun it sprouts,
Towards the earth we share to greet us.
I wait for you so patiently and cry,
For deep inside I need your love and care,
I reach towards you as you know it well,
And there is much for us to share.
Your kiss is like the rain upon the earth,
Your smile is like the sun to which we turn,
I ascend your body as you reach to me,
The earth you conquer in a moment’s bliss.
Before the time we wait upon our lives,
Our sunset is proceeded by the rise,
We trudge together side by side,
Our hands the cymbal clanging through the clime.
"A new word is like a fresh seed sown on the ground of the discussion." Ludwig Wittgenstein
