SALISBURY JUNCTIONS POEM 14
The inevitable heat approaches, like a tiger in the grass, moving slowly towards you. Don't get eaten!
“The hand is the visible part of the brain.” Immanuel Kant
In Your Hand
I am here and I know you understand,
That the world is in your hand,
I have my place therein now as I should,
So I trust in you because you are my man.
The dappled shade across the grass,
Cuts diagonally as the trees shaded stoop,
It feels as if they were there for you and I,
Beneath the blue and expansive sky.
Walking along there is no end to the expanse,
Our legs lengthening to keep the pace we strut,
The destination is remote but it is a pleasure,
To take the route direct across the field.
I am brave as you are brave and so it is,
That we together make our journey’s map,
The line we trace today is straight,
The pointed pace the history of our love.
"My hands are small, I know, But they're not yours, they are my own, But they're not yours, they are my own, And I am never broken." Jewel
