REVERIE POEM 1
Sometimes it is hard to see what is coming around the corner. I have spent some time thinking about what it is that I want from life and wrote a few poems for my friends, like I do. These are from the period where I felt really quite stuck in my energies and decided to try and reinvent a little, using a book that coaches you to focus on what really matters.
We each must make a commitment to chip away at our self-imposed limitations and take the time to discover the ways we have hidden our talents and covered up our deepest desires." Debbie Ford
Passing Out
I lost you at the point of no return
My fingers entwined with yours I grasped
Perplexing pleasure, joyous years
Lost in one faint-hearted gasp
Too weak to carry on I left
There was nothing to do
Perfection just before me
But life just did not suit
I loved you for a lifetime
I couldn’t carry through
All the pain and sadness
Withered
Heaven could not hold me – it was too bright
Joy and laughter could not exist without a fight
Guns and bullet holes are reality
In that life I simply could not see
Alone for eternity she sat
Waiting
Waiting for him to come back.
But when he arrived, she simply sat.
"What one does is what counts. Not what one had the intention of doing." Pablo Picasso
