One shapes one's life like you shape a sculpture. The tools you use can be imaginative, but you will always run into something that goes against the current or speeds up the process. Sometimes you have what they call an epiphany - something drops into your life that changes your perspective forever. So with all this no one's artistic process is the same exactly.
“Any great art work … revives and readapts time and space, and the measure of its success is the extent to which it makes you an inhabitant of that world - the extent to which it invites you in and lets you breathe its strange, special air.” Leonard Bernstein

Rippling and Rushing
Feeling you
I learn about myself
Feeling you.
I never knew.
“I love the dark hours of my being. My mind deepens into them. There I can find, as in old letters, the days of my life, already lived, and held like a legend, and understood.” Rainer Maria Rilke
So perhaps we all have a dark side that needs exploring - as things surface as things open for you, as life unfolds? Do we know ourselves better than another outside us? I think we can do, but this involves the process of introspection, something that deepens the artistic process. How we know ourselves does affect how we represent ourselves, but the beauty of the released mind or body, is that we find ourselves expressing ourselves on paper without thought.
