POEM 5 IMAGES
Experience is all-encapsulating. Sensory - visual, taste, sound, touch, taste - feeling is combined with all these. This is why I put up pictures too with the poems. I did think that it would be cool if I could send smells and taste too - that is what the imagination is for, I suppose. This is the interesting thing for me about poetry and fiction, as the reader's perception and understanding is so involved in gaining something from it. In comparison, film gives you everything, but in 2D from the director's perspective.
“All our knowledge begins with the senses, proceeds then to the understanding, and ends with reason. There is nothing higher than reason.” Immanuel Kant
Positioning
Legs in shape
Inviting you in
The depth of you
Is overwhelming.
I scream in silence
Losing my poise
We join.
Perhaps we will never end.
“He allowed himself to be swayed by his conviction that human beings are not born once and for all on the day their mothers give birth to them, but that life obliges them over and over again to give birth to themselves.” Gabriel García Márquez
